"Verleih uns Frieden gnädiglich" ("Da nobis pacem, Domine"; also known as "Grant Us Thy Peace"), Opus/Catalogue Number WoO 5, MWV A 11, composed by Jakob Ludwig Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, the great German composer, pianist, organist and conductor of the early Romantic period. This composition has been published also as "Gebet nach Lutherschen Worten für Chor und Orchester" (librettist, Martin Luther). Mendelssohn originally scored the piece for SATB chorus, 2 Flutes, 2 Bb Clarinets, 2 Bassoons, 2 Violins, Viola, ’Cello, Contrabasso, and Organ. This arrangement is for Violin Solo with organ accompaniment.
