Organ from Prelude and Trumpet Tune by John Stanley arranged for modern organ with pedals
This arrangement is based on a two part voluntary by John Stanley. Although the original 17th century piece was for playing on any keyboard instrument, the second movement is in the style of a trumpet voluntary, a popular type of voluntary during that period, when the English organ didn’t have a pedal section. This arrangement is for the modern organ with pedals. However, I have tried to retain the light characteristics of Stanley’s music. I have also transposed the piece to D, which seems to make it sound brighter than in its original key of C.
