This is a piece written to encourage fun in your audience and band as well.
This composition is written with having incomplete small wind bands in mind. It is not unusual to see the bands (especially amateur ones) without complete accompanying section
(the trumpet and two trombones). Because of this, the accompaniment is written the way the Trombone 2 part
may be omitted. If the accompanying section is complete, the trumpet and 1st trombone must play the bracket
noteheads, where provided.
Another quite common issue is absence of the E-flat clarinet. In this score, the first voice of the clarinet section
is written in E-flat as well as in B-flat, so the parts are interchangeable.
Trumpeters’ range skills are kept in mind as well. There are bracket noteheads provided. Playing of them is
to be set by the 1st trumpet player.
