Black Tusk is a march, originally written for the Sea to Sky Wind Ensemble in North Vancouver. It was recorded for their Celebrations CD, and presented in concert on a number of occasions. This brass band version was arranged for the Kapiti Brass who also played it in concert.

The Black Tusk is a granite monolith - a volcanic neck - which is situated in the mountains north of Vancouver, Canada and can be seen prominently from Whistler Mountain which hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics. I have climbed the Black Tusk twice.
