Probably one of the first larger scale pieces I wrote using Sibelius, back in 1999. No prizes for guessing on which certain French composer's concerto I based this present work! Looking back on it, I will admit to cringeing a little at the musical and idiomatic clich?s and the sheer lack of harmonic adventure and invention - it seems to alternate almost exclusively between Cm and Gdim7! However, I am proud of this early effort and would love to hear it played live! Any offers…?
