Travelling Light is a short piece of music for a specialist woodwind ensemble comprising 2 flutes, 2 clarinets, alto and tenor sax. It's title reflects the light,flighty movement of the piece as the melody is shifted swiftly between instruments providing interest and above all, a small opportunity for each performer to shine through. The piece should be performed in the lighthearted manner it was composed. I hope it will prove to be a short, most certainly CHALLENGING…but enjoyable concert piece!
