'Illusions of a New Found Planet' is my first attempt at creating a soundworld that is filmic. Scored for 12 musicians, it was originally written for 6 students at Dartington College of Arts and 6 Professional performers in the Black Hair Contemporary Ensemble. nThe piece explores a couple of motifs which recur throughout the piece. This chamber / orchestral force of percussion and full string section have been created to enhance the illusion of grandeur. It is a tricky piece and is challenging for the wind performer. I hope you enjoy !
