This fanfare was written as a call to worship for the Advent Candle Lighting service at the Boston Avenue Methodist Church. It has been played yearly since 1990. It is in the style of the music of Pezel or an early Baroque piece. It is suitable for general use. It can be played by four or more instruments . (The trombone doubles the horn.) We frequently double parts. The trill wasn’t playing back correctly when I uploaded and the crescendo at the end was less than what your group will want to do. The style should be more marcato than the playback.
