Arranged by John Henry Hopkins (1820-1891), an American clergyman, We Three Kings of Orient Are was published in his Carols, Hymns and Songs, in 1865. An immensely popular carol, it was also included in Christmas Carols New and Old (1871-80), edited by Henry Ramsden Bramley and John Stainer. This simple, somewhat mournful tune, has remained popular in both England and America.

This arrangement comes with a Beginners' third violin part, and an optional bass part for use with string orchestra.
