Violin I from Wednesday
Wednesday is the second movement in a seven part work that was intended but of which only the first two parts were written. The piece follows the development of my compositional proficiency with a two year gap between movements: Monday was written in 2001, and later revised in 2003, when Wednesday was composed, which was then revised in 2004.
The pieces are both in the Aeolian mode, and are in regular time and rhythm and are supposed to be appealing in their simplicity as they are loosely modelled upon non-classical music aesthetics. To hear the difference in skill proficiency levels, step backwards by listening to Monday after listening to this.

Which method of viewing music should I use?
Score Exchange has two methods to display previews of music: seView which uses regular html and javascipt and the Scorch plug-in from Avid which needs to be downloaded and installed onto your computer. Both have advantages and disadvantages:
You do not need to install any additional software to use seView.
Scorch is a free plug-in from Avid for displaying and printing music. It can also play the music that you're seeing. As modern web browsers are updated, Scorch is no longer compatible with many browsers. Scorch has never been compatible with mobile devices and some web browsers on Mac computers.
If your web browser does not install Scorch automatically, you can click here to download and install scorch manually.
