Violín II from Ciaccona di Paradiso e dell’Inferno
This is an arrangement for strings and continuo of the Ciaccona di Paradiso e dell’inferno from an Anonymous composer. The original setting is the number 5 from Canzonette Spirituali, Milano 1675, and has become recently known because of the interpretation by L’arpeggiata and Philippe Jaroussky.
It is intended to be played with 2 violins and continuo (violin II can be replaced by viola part, they both have the same music), or any other combination of 2 treble instruments and one bass.
