You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.Christmas Medley! was originally written back in 1990, as a short medley of Christmas tunes for school instrumentalists - flute or recorder trio and piano.
As such it has been well received, and I have made a number of different arrangements and versions of it.
It recently occurred to me that I hadn’t actually produced a version for a solo instrument and piano, as this is sometimes requested.
I have done this in two parts - there is already a version for solo wind instruments, and now the present one for solo string instruments.
As I have kept the concert key the same for all the string instruments (just adjusting for range and transposition), a a violin could combine with a cello, or viola, or even both.
Currently the string parts available are: Violin, Viola, and Cello’
Please note: The version for strings is in G major, while that for wind instruments is a tone lower - F major. It would, of course, be possible to provide any respective transposition, to allow for any combination of string and wind instruments.
