This excellent song is usually performed by a more robust ensemble than a string orchestra, reflecting its normal usage as the National Anthem of the USA. As a Brit I feel compelled to acknowledge the original composer, an Englishman, John Stafford Smith (1750 - 1836), but I do believe that the tune has found its place as "The Stars and Stripes", arguably one of the best national anthems in the world today. The solo violin part is really very small and the player should play the violin ! part until the end of the piece.
