The idea for this song came when I was fooling around on a piano…that is where the first two bars come from. The open fifths between each instument make such an intresting chord that encompasses such a wide range, perfect for the beginnings of a fanfare (and the end, consequently). The rest of the themes highlight each instrument (trumpet duet themes, trombone-horn themes, tuba solo theme). Once through each theme, near the end, I combined all of them at once. That culmination builds into the climax. The song ends with a repeat of the beginning.
