Violin 2 from Zadok the Priest
Zadok the Priest is a coronation anthem composed by George Frideric Handel (16851759) using texts from the King James Bible. It is one of the four coronation anthems that Handel composed for the coronation of George II in 1727. Zadok the Priest has been sung at every British Coronation service since its appearance. It is traditionally performed during the sovereign's anointing. Here is an arrangement for String Orchestra. It will also work for String Quartet.
