Nice music to play with a schoolband or so. Suitable for recorders or similar instruments (violin, traverso). I know I did when I was learning to play in a ensemble.

This suite has 6 parts: 1. Intrada 2. Bal 3. Sarabande 4. Allemande 5. Bal 6. Gigue

Johann Christoph Pezel (1639 - 1694) was a German town bandsman and composer, one of a humble yet privileged class of musicians. The works Pezel is most remembered for are his 5 part cornet and trombone ensembles performing twice daily from the Rathaus tower in Leipzig. One of his publications is a collection of 76 pieces, mostly intradas and examples of various dance forms such as the sarabande.
