It was first performed by him, accompanied by chamber strings of the London Schools Symphony Orchestra, in July 1997 at the British Embassy in Tokyo and later that year at the Barbican Concert Hall, London. It is a companion piece to 'Shimabara No Komoriuta'. The MP3 file is constructed from sections recorded at the first rehearsal and assembled later.
