A simple version of the traditional french folk melody ’Noel Nouvelet’ This is a multipurpose arrangement, which will suit very limited choirs (especially lacking tenors), which can be enhanced by the addition of a flute, or any Bb or Eb reed. It was originally performed with an alto sax. The Upper 2 parts may be either be sung by Sop and Alto or Sop 1 and Sop 2. A small drum or tabor also greatly adds to the performance. Again a printed part is provided, but not essential, as the rhythm remains constant throughout. The solo wind is the most difficult part, but most reasonably accomplish players should be able to manage it.
