My Violin Sonata was written in the summer of 2005, and is in three movements. It is important that the music is played at the metronome marks with all repeats. The first movement Allegro is in sonata form, and the second movement although marked Adagio should really have an alle breve feel about it and not be played in quaver beats or too slowly. I know many violinists will feel the last movement metronome is too fast because of the central pizzicato section but it should present no difficulties to the advanced player.
