You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.Franz Gruber wrote the music for this favourite Christmas carol in 1818, the legend has it that a mouse had chewed the air supply to the organ and a guitar accompanimant was needed. The words we know and love were by Joseph Mohr, written in German and later translated into virtually every language. This is a very simple guitar arrangement which is comfortable for lower adult voices. Transposing it to G by using a capo on fret 3 or A with capo on 5, would make it more comfortable for children to sing whilst still being accessible for adults. This score has TAB and notation, but parts are available for those who prefer notation or TAB only.
