As I Teach the flute,I direct a number of ’flute choirs’ in schools. This has prompted me to compose and arrange quartets for ’concert’ flutes. This arrangement was originally written for stings with solo violin and is the 3rd movement of Vivaldi’s Op.3 No.12 composed c1712.The 1st flute part is really a solo whereas the other flute parts form the accompaniment. The piece has a good driving feel which is typical of Vivaldi’s fast movements; intense and fun to play.
