I live my whole life in Texas once did I go to Louisiana for my job
Working in the oilfield I was delivering a tool to Baton Rouge I got lost
On back roads deep in the thick swamp I stopped for to ask directions at a petit shack
Before I could knock a creature burst through the door and latched onto my shoulder with teeth
I was bit by the rougarou I don’t know what to do I feel myself changing its true
I live my whole life in Texas once did I go to Louisiana
And there I became the vengeful rougarou running through the swamps in now what I do
Seeking revenge from the man who gave me this disease I run the back woods with great ease
I return to the petit shack and there I kill the man who made me a rougarou
I was bit by the rougarou so I found him and killed him for what he did yes its true
Now that vengeance is mine I go back home
I am the Texas rougarou I run the fields all night I am a Cajun wolfman
To rid myself of this disease I did bite a man and change him to the rougarou
I am free from the torment of the rougarou disease but now danger is real close
For the man I bit and the man whom I changed will not rest until I am deep in the grave
