You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.Originally written for strings in 1926 and orchestrated for full orchestra in 1928, this piece (as are all the other 5 movements of the suite) is based on an old French dance from the late 16th century and sucessfully conveys the feel of that period whilst utilising a few modern harmonies. A well known favourite. A straight forward arrangement, the only real challenge being the top Cs (concert pitch) in the 1st Euph part.
