Handels ceremonial music represents a veracious manifestation of his genius in this genre. Composed in 1727 for the coronation of King George II Zadok, the Priest is an anthem consisting of three choruses namely 1. Zadok, the Priest; 2. And All The People Rejoiced and 3. God Save The King. One of the greatest moments in the first chorus is the entry of the voices after a deceptively simple string introduction, and each chorus of the entire work is usually performed attacca with only a slight separation between the movements.
