"A Darkness Befalls" is a slow, almost jazz-like, piece for Piano Quartet (Piano, Violin, Viola and Cello). It could also be performed with a double bass playing the left hand of the piano (as in the attached sound clip). Its mournful quality makes it an ideal funeral piece.
