You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.This is a two movement work written especially for the young oboe player, Eleanor Tinlin, for her ’modern’ entry piece for the Young Musician of the Year competition. The slow first movement introduces the various themes which are developed throughout the piece, though most of the material is derived from the opening 7 bars. The second movement places the emphasis on rhythmic patterns whilst seeming to adhere to a traditional sonata form structure. I would like to point out that this is not merely a show off piece for oboe, as both instruments have equal importance throughout.
