A little bit of Victoriana here. The suite was written as incidental music for a recorded reading of Dickens’ novel, which is why the six pieces have no introductions. The extract at the top of each piece will help to set the scene. It suits the sound of a clarinet, but doesn’t use the deep register, so it can also be used for other instruments.
