viola from A Cockney Serenade for String Orchestra
This is made up of a set of tunes which sound like London Cockney songs from early 20th century British Music Hall (which Americans call Vaudeville) but are actually original numbers taken from the composer's Cockney Opera called 'Publicans and Sinners' set in a London Pub in Edwardian times. Play with humour or, as those nice Americans spell it, 'humor.' Have fun!
