Steven Moellering received his Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees in piano performance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he studied with Dr. Mark Clinton. Abroad, he was a participant in Ameropa (a chamber music festival in Prague) and performed a duet-recital in Japan with his wife, where it was featured on news broadcast in the Tokyo area. He received the honor to perform at Weill Recital Hall in New York as a prizewinner at the World Piano Competition in CIncinnati. He has received masterclasses from such pianists as Fernando Laires, Christopher O'Riley and Jeffrey Siegel, and from such composers as Joan Tower and William Bolcom. As a composer, his compositions have been selected for performance at the 53rd national conference for CMS in Minneapolis, and have been commissioned and performed in several states.
