I started playing the piano at the later age of 9. I began to write music at the age of 10. I studied piano privately for many years and continued with harmony, counterpoint and history classes at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. My music is subjective. The stories or brief explanations hopefully provide the listener or performer with a better understanding of what the musics' overall character is. I place all my pieces into certain categories, which all have a specific meaning or purpose. I hope that this does not cause confusion with the traditional rules of centuries past.
