Hello, and thanks for checking out my bio! I'm a self-taught composer/musician with roughly 20 years of songwriting experience. I enjoy writing for many different genres, but I'm most comfortable with classical piano, orchestra, and Broadway-style songs. My portfolio includes 3 community musicals, a number of wedding arrangements and original compositions, religious preludes and postludes, around 20 original compositions for solo piano, a work for string orchestra and solo cello, a concerto for viola and orchestra, and an a cappella piece for SATB choir. Many of these can be found available for purchase on this site.

As a composer, I've had influences from musical giants that have come before me, most notably J. S. Bach, Debussy, Gershwin, and Sibelius—although there are many others. The Christian composer/arranger Mark Hayes has also been quite influential. My musical style has changed somewhat over the years, but I would say it is best categorized as Impressionistic. Some of my compositions may sound Romantic, however, with a strong sense of lyricism and moving dramatic arcs. I suppose it depends on the mood I'm in when composing!

I'm more than happy to accept commissions, and I'd also love to have some of these pieces performed! Please, just let me know in either case.
