Woody Splawn

I began writing songs at age 12 with Waylon Jennings recording one of my songs at age 14. I was a contract writer for Harlan Howard's publishing company - Wilderness Music - Nashville Tenn.

I was a protege of Buddy Killen - Senior Vice President of Tree Music International - now Sony/Tree International. Under his tutelage I recorded twice at Columbia Studios Nashville. I exited the music Business at age 25, however, because I didn't like my then life style.

Over the years, however, I have continued to write and have a number of songs I own the copyright to, but that are unpublished.
