Matthew Cavoto is a graduate of Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance degree. He studied piano with William Carr and Arianna Goldina. For several years, he has had an interest in the sacred choral music of the Renaissance as exemplified by Palestrina, Victoria, and Byrd (among others). Following through with this interest, Matthew has spent several years studying 16th-century counterpoint and has begun work to "revive" this style of music. His first major work, Missa La Re Do (for SATB a cappella), will become available upon completion. Other works will be made available in the near future.
