2003/6 Participated in the 48th Besancon International Conducting Competition in St. Petersburg, Russia. Was appreciated by the jury ??has the highest quality of presentation for his musical aptitude and professional technique among 200 competitors from 36 Countries.?
2002/8 Lead Taiwan Harmonica Ensemble (THE) to participate in the 4th Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival (APHF) in Japan and also conducted in concerts in Tokyo. THE was awarded the Golden Prize in APHF large ensemble competition this year.
2002/6 Graduated as a Master of Find Arts from Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA), Taiwan.
2002/5 Conducted Bruckner Symphony No. 4 in TNUA as a graduation concert.
2002/4 Conducted students? works (orchestral and chamber music) in six concerts in TNUA.
2001/12 Conducted Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5 in the prizewinner concert in TNUA.
2001/9 Participated in the 6th International Conducting Competition ?Mario Gusella? in Italy. Chung was the only under-30-year-old competitor to enter the 2nd round.
2001/8 Studied in the conducting master class of International Summer Academy Mozarteum Salzburg, under Prof. Hans Zender. Conducted the Accademia Musicale di San Giorgio in performance. Lead THE to Japan and conducted THE in two concerts in Tokyo.
2001/7 Conducted Prof. Hwang-Long Pan?s ?Cause - Effect? in the concert tour around Berlin, Germany.
2000/9 Entered TNUA as a conducting-major graduate student.
1999/6 Graduated from TNUA (former National Institute of the Arts) as a composition-major student.
