Jaime Azcárraga is a graduate of the University of California Los Angeles. In 2006, he completed a bachelor’s degree in musical composition where his teachers were Paul Chihara, Paul Reale and Ian Krouse. Today, he is a freelance composer and entrepreneur. You can find links to his music and upcoming events at https://www.facebook.com/Las.Vegas.Composer/?modal=admin_todo_tour. Jaime's average day consists of composing for one half of the day and editing and uploading recordings, music scores and videos to his website the other half. Part of his inspiration as a child to become a composer was watching “Amadeus,” a movie about Mozart. As an adult, his main artistic influences are the music of Greek composer Iannis Xenakis, Balinese Gamelan music and the films of American Expat Stanley Kubrick.
In the next three to five years, Jaime hopes to find a publisher that specializes in classical contemporary music. He is always looking for enthusiastic musicians to collaborate with, no matter what the genre. Although mainly an autodidact, he credits the nuance of his output to the indispensable education he received at the University of California Los Angeles and to the continuing support of his family. Jaime always looks forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals. He currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.
