Mexican polystylist composer and guitar player, born in 1971. He studied composition at the Faculty of Music, UNAM. His music has been played by international musicians such as Nicolas Prost (France) the Flute Choir of the University of Central Florida (USA), the PanTones Quartet of New York (USA), Felipe Tristán (USA), Trio Zaffire (Spain), Monika Streitova (Czech Republic), Breakout Ensemble (Germany), Cello Alterno ensemble, Anacrusax quartet, Arcano quartet, Omar López, Miguel Ángel Villanueva, Carmen Thierry and Javier Nandayapa (México), Philarmonic Orchestra of Toluca (México) among others. In 2013, he was selected composer in the World New Music Days in Bratislava, (Slovakia) and Viena (Austria). In 2010, he created the soundtrack of animated full-length film La revolución de Juan Escopeta (The Revolution of Juan Escopeta), by director Jorge Estrada, winner of the SIGNIS prize to best film in Argentina, 2012. Calleja is artistic director, composer and performer with the groups Etnokam (hybrid music), Gallina Negra (progressive rock) and Jazz-Rock-Simphonic project.
