6-25-11: Been a while since I've updated this account; in the meantime I've gotten some more awards, completed a Master's in performance and composition studying with William Yelverton and Paul Osterfield, and have had a great kid! Will be updating with new (to this site anyway) scores soon. :)

I'm currently a senior guitar performance major at William Carey College, studying under Dr. Miroslav Loncar, and am finishing up my bachelor's. I basically fool around with composition for my own enjoyment, and have had a little formal training with Dr. Howard Keever. In 2001 (Yes, this is the part where I'm obligated to talk about awards, etc.) I won first place for the guitar concerto division of the MMTA (Mississippi Music Teacher's Association, affiliated with MNTA) and first place for junior/senior chamber ensemble. In January, 2002, I took first place in the guitar division of the National Federation of Music Clubs competition, in April I won first place in the strings division of the Mississippi Young Artists Concerto competition, and earlier this month I won first place in the guitar division of the MMTA Collegiate Artist competition and first place in their junior/senior Chamber Ensemble division. I'll be playing Ponce's Concerto del Sur with the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra on March 22nd of 2003, and am currently working on my senior recital and a composition recital (which reminds me that I need to post some compositions here!). Aside from this, I play in a local band called Octagon, and am trying to get a jazz group started. I'm always open for chat, and can be found on MSN Messenger or at ICQ# 174921044. Oh, and I'm a cat person…
