Keith Walmsley (born 1949) studied music at Goldsmith´┐Żs College (B.Mus Hons London, 1993) and Morley College, including composition studies with Diana Burrell, Tim Ewers, Brendan Beales and Paul Webster.

He is a member of the Forum London Composers Group and has participated in several of their composition projects including those led by Diana Burrell, Anthony Payne, David Matthews, and Gabriel Jackson. He makes use of 12 note serial techniques but in recent years has tempered this with a measure of harmonic simplification and use of modal resources in what he describes as "soft serialism". His music has been performed at a number of Forum concerts including at their annual "All Ears" Festival.

As a player his main instrument is now the piano accordion and he is interested in producing accessible contemporary music for that instrument.
