Kevin Vockerodt was born in South Africa and commenced piano and organ tuition at the ages of 5 and 13 respectively. He made his debut as a concerto soloist at the age of 9, and won numerous awards at national level on both piano and organ. In 1997, he was awarded a scholarship to the Royal College of Music, where he studied the piano with the late Yonty Solomon, and the organ with Timothy Bond and Margaret Phillips.

Kevin regularly gives recitals and performances as both soloist and accompanist, and has performed throughout England, Europe, South Africa and the USA. He has worked as an accompanist and repetiteur for the Carl Rosa Opera Company and has given music coaching at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Arts Educational drama school, London. He has broadcast on radio for the South African Broadcasting Corporation. Kevin has had a number of choral compositions published, and has edited and arranged music for the Royal College of Organists and St Michael’s Church, Cornhill, in the City of London, including rarely-performed works by Merbecke and J C Bach. He has worked as an accompanist for a number of choirs and with conductors such as Simon Joly, Bob Chilcott, Jonathan Willcocks and Sir David Willcocks.

He is Assistant Director of Music and Head of Keyboard at Beechwood Park School, Hertfordshire, and accompanist to the Buckingham Choral Society.
