Renowned composer Eugene Magalif (b.1957, Vitebsk, Belarus), has lived in the USA since 1990. He graduated from Vitebsk Music College and Belarusian Academy of Music. Mr. Magalif is the author of the musical Swineherd, cantata Barmaley, music for Theater, Radio, and TV, chamber and orchestral works, Christian music for the choir, as well as numerous popular songs and ballads.

His compositions are performed and recorded by famous musicians from different countries. They are featured on Radio and TV in Belarus, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine and USA. Magalif’s music was performed at many Festivals, prestigious concert halls, and occasions, such as: The White House, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and Lobero Theater (USA), Rachmaninoff Concert Hall (Russia), Görlitz Theater (Germany), State Philharmonic (Belarus), Baltazar Dias Theater (Portugal), Odeon Theater (Austria), in a Concert on the occasion of the canonization of Pope Paul VI etc.

Maestro Yuri Temirkanov, Chief Conductor of the St. Petersburg State Philharmonic Orchestra, wrote that "Eugene Magalif’s music is delightful, first of all in its professionalism, as well as quite amusing and witty.”

Magalif's Colibri [Hummingbird] for Flute was named “Pearl of the World flute music”, and Flute Talk Magazine (USA) gave the highest rank possible to Colibri in its March 2015 issue.

The White House 2014 Winter Concert Season was opened with Magalif’s Fantasie on Ukrainian carol. It was performed three times in one week by two Flute Orchestras.

In 2016 the composer recorded his orchestral works for the upcoming album Colibri and gave a recital at Dnipro Philharmonic Concert Hall, Ukraine, with Symphony Orchestra, Children’ Choirs and soloists from 5 different countries.

On July 2016 Magalif was invited by Sir James Galway as a guest-composer at Galway Flute Festival in Weggis, Switzerland.

The CD Album Colibri (2016) won three Silver Medals at Global Music Awards, Los Angeles, USA. Flute Concerto recorded by soloist Patrick Dillery, (USA); conductor Natalia Ponomarchuk and Dnipro Symphony Orchestra (Ukraine) – won in the category "Modern Instrumental Music" at The AKADEMIA Music Awards, Los Angeles, USA.

ALRY Publications (USA) and FORTON Music (UK) are publishing music of Magalif since 2013.
