Mark Williams began his musical training as a chorister during the 70's, and has continued to be active in music, combining singing, playing violin, arranging and composing with the day-job in Cryogenics at Air Products. Living in Winchester, UK, Mark presently sings as a deputy lay clerk at Winchester cathedral, and for other choirs in the South of England. Mark also directs the choir Index Cantorum, founded in 1988; unashamedly a 'list of singers', the group comprises friends who can take a break from other professional occupations to sing purely for pleasure to a professional standard two or three times a year. Many of the compositions are for church use, in particular commissions and requests from the Church of our Lady, St Johns Wood, London, responding to the demand for modern works for Latin in liturgy. Also written are a capella arrangements of popular songs, always with hidden melodies to spark further interest and amusement for the performers. All the works submitted to scoreexchange have been performed. For full listings, and details of other original compositions, arrangements, and education music contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
