Olja Dešić

Musician, composer, arranger, singer, instrumentalist from Croatia. Deeply involved in music production, teaching and organizations – for 15 years he is member of the band “Fiumens” with Neno Belan and leading his Olja’zz band. He’s a member of the Croatian community of independent artists, a vice-president of the Croatian Musicians Union and a regular member of the Croatian Composers’ Society.

At present time he is music producer for Croatian artist Marko Tolja, co-owner of recording Studio Marathon and founder of the music course “Studio Marathon”.

He won the award “Status” for the best bass player in a pop/rock/urban category and won several Croatian discography awards ‘’Porin’’. He founded his original music project “Olja’zz Music Factory” and Vocal Marathon A Cappella Encounters.

In 2012. he won six nominations for “PORIN” (Croatian discography award) mostly as music producer – he won three of them.

He writes and arranges various music styles. He started to write vocal arrangements very early when he approached the choir PUTOKAZI, and later group “The Road” (Eurosong 1993). Since then he wrote numerous vocal arrangements for variuous groups and choirs, as well as styles. He works actively as vocal coach for choirs, groups and TV (RTL – Pop Idol).
