Matthew graduated with a music degree from the University of Durham in 2003 and has since worked in Northumberland, Sussex and London.
After specialising in Composition and Musicology (Anglican Choral Music of the late Victorian and Early 20th Century), Matthew spent little time on his musical interests, writing occasional hymns and anthems for church use.
However, in recent years this has changed and his involvement in practical music making has included the Fairhaven Singers in Cambridge and the Embassy Singers in Berlin.
Matthew is candidating for Ministry in the United Reformed Church and has been training for ministry in Cambridge since 2008. He started a PhD in theology in October 2012 and alongside the research workload has been able to return to some more composition - something he really enjoys.

Most scores are now supplied without cost for printing or performing. However, if you wish to perform or record any of these compositions, please get in touch with Matthew for permission.
