B i o g r a p h y Robert is currently Organist at Our Lady and St James' Church, Bangor.
Robert was a chorister at Bangor Cathedral Choir and studied Organ with Norman Rimmer. At the age of 14 he was appointed Assistant Organist of St Mary's and Christ Church, Llanfairfechan. At 16 he was appointed Organ Student at Bangor Cathedral. As Organ Student he performed weekly at the Cathedral and gave recitals.
When he was in sixth form he gave several TV and Radio Broadcasts. He was also awarded the 'Ysgol Tryfan Award for Services to Music.' Robert also toured with schools choirs where he directed and accompanied.
After completing his studies at Sixth Form, he accepted a performance scholarship to Bangor University starting in September 2013. He now studies under Graham Eccles, one of UK's finest organists. During his first year he was also the Anglican Chaplaincy Organ Scholar, where he performed weekly and directed the Chaplaincy Choir, Cor Corpus Christi. In January 2014, Robert was appointed Organist and Musical Director of Our Lady and St James' Church in Bangor. With his work at this post, Robert directs and accompanies all principle services. Alongside this work, he is in demand as a freelance organist, regularly performing widely within the City and the area. Robert has appeared as a recitalist at Berea Newydd Chapel, Bangor and Chester Cathedrals.
