James G.R. Campell

I am a young organist, conductor and composer based in the North of Scotland.

My music is mostly influenced by the landscape of the Highlands of Scotland as well as by the music of the baroque composers. Like these composers, I am a prolific improviser which means that I don't write down a lot of my compositions. When I do put pen to paper however, it's mostly as an arranger. Although I mostly improvise organ arrangements of choral and orchestral work, I also devote some time to arranging music for choirs -especially choirs without tenors.
