Bio:

I wrote a my first "cycle" of songs at age 10, played ice hockey in my youth, but did not take up the guitar until 17. My first lessons were in eastern Canada) with pop guru, Rob Cormier, French Canadian classical guitarist, Rhon Gallant, and then in Pittsburgh with jazz guitar teacher, John McLaughlin.

Since then I played in masterclasses in Italy, Canada and the USA for distinguished guitarists like Alirio Diaz, David Russell and Fabio Zanon.

My public debut was in 1996 at Guaymas, Mexico, and I concertized in New Mexico, Spain and northern Italy from 1998-2000. While in Europe I began writing more extended instrumental pieces - e.g., "Three Fantasies for Guitar and Oboe" (1999).

In 2004 I earned my Grade 10 Guitar Performance Certificate with First Class Honors from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. I was also awarded the Silver Medal for my region. Also in 2004, cooperating with Dalhousie University, I helped to bring 2003 GFA winner, Dimitri Illarionov, to Halifax with great success!

My classical teachers were Carol van Feggellen, Brian Mancini, Michael Scott, Jeffrey McFadden, Michel Cardin and Douglas Reach.

Thanks to M. Cardin, I gave my first full-length recital in 2005 at the Universite de Moncton. where he is professor.

I consider myself a compositional layman, but possess a certain aptitude for it. Since my performance certificate I continue to work my passion for playing, teaching, writing and arranging.

Thank you for your interest!

Musically,
