He has released 2 albums of original piano music. "Improvs for Hope, and "Reflections, both available for download at his website. A recording of his "Marian Sonata" for violin and piano was made in the Czech Republic this year by PARMA Recordings and will be released in 2019.
Steve freelances as a writer, musician (conductor, bassoon, piano, organ) and educator.
He is the author of the “Minstrel Music” entry in the German encyclopedia reference "Musik in Geschichte und Gegenwart", and a frequent contributor to Film Score Monthly and The Music Buff’s Web Page.

Steve is a graduate of Mankato (MN) State University and of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. The "Festival Psalm" was a finalist for the Raabe Prize (Association of Lutheran Church Musicians).
