Hi there, my name is Ceri John and I come from the town of Burry Port in Carmarthenshire, South Wales. My main musical influences come from the brass band world, which I have been a part of since I was 11 years of age when I started playing for my town band. During my youth I was lucky enough to be chosen to play for the National youth brass band of Wales from 1988-1995 and on my final year I was made principal Euphonium. The most exciting times of my musical career came during my University days which were spent at the University of Salford. During this time I was fortunate enough to play with two of the worlds finest bands i.e Yorkshire Bulding Society Brass Band - With whom I won the european brass band championships in 1996-, and the world famous Black Dyke Mills brass band. But my life has now gone full circle and I am back home in Burry Port playing for my town band again. I am currently a Peripatetic Brass Teacher covering the whole of Carmarthenshire. On a personal note, I'd like to thank my good friend and Tuba virtuoso Ragnell Burleigh for letting me record him playing my tuba studies for this site. Thanks Ragnell
