Pretty soon after I began learning the clarinet I felt compelled to try and write my own music. My work as a performer and teacher has given me many opportunities to nurture this interest.

I'm very at home writing for Wind Instruments as I spent 25 Years playing in 'Harlequin', a wind quintet, and the 'Ebony Quartet', a clarinet and saxophone quartet. My work has led me into conducting Wind Bands at all levels - Junior Band at school up to Kent Youth Wind Orchestra.

I have 4 sight reading books (2 clarinet and 2 saxophone) published by Schott and wrote a clarinet concerto for Kent Youth Wind Orchestra (I was the soloist).

Most of my compositions and arrangements are for small combinations of instruments and I often have to adapt for very strange ensembles. I am happy to do arrangements to order. I hope that you enjoy my offerings!
