Dunedin, the southern city (in New Zealand) is the Gaelic form of Edinburgh. The are was largely settled by Scots. There are said to be more bagpipes per head of population than in Edinburgh itself. There are frequent processins, which always feature one or more bands of pipes and drums, with the players in full Scote regalia. The processions start in Princes Sytreet. The pipe tune alluided to is "The Flowers of Edinburgh".
